FARM RELIEF

I am just a plodder, but it is my firm belief,
The only way the farmer,is ever going to get relief,
Is to have in each farm district,an office or a station,
Where the government can give out,the needed information.
So men like me who have to toil,
Can have them analyze my soil,
And tell me things I ought to know,
About the kind, and how much seed to sow.
Washington should broadcast every night,
The approximate acreage in sight,
So we farmers in the field,
Could plant and regulate the yield.
The politicians make an awful fuss,
About how to handle crop surplus,
But if this condition we would correct,
It must be treated from cause and effect.
For all us farmers are bound to raise,
The crop that takes less work, and pays.
And with this information in advance,
He'll be more cautious about what he plants.
What farmers need is more information,
Instead of this special legislation.

I'd rather see the farmers bust,
Than build up a gigantic trust,
And be a party to a pact
To violate the Sherman act.
For the old time law of supply and demand,
Is the only one that will ever stand.
Why;should we be protected more,
Than the little corner grocery store?
Who struggles on and fights in vain,
Against a Million dollar chain?
JUST GIVE US FARMERS ,PROPER INSTRUCTION,
AND WE'LL CONTROL,THE CROP PRODUCTION.
