EMPLOYMENT SITUATION NOT SERIOUS
Employment Bureau To Make A Local Survey.

According to officers of the local employment bureau the situation in Grinnell is not alarming in comparison with other Iowa cities. With the unusually mild winter so far and labor generally employed part or full time, the Associated Charities have carried on and met the issue without additional assistance from outside agencies.

A city large or small that would fail to respond in times of suffering and distress would be indeed unmindful of its blessings. Grinnell with her Charity Relief setup, working with the Associated Charities will not fail to measure up in any emergency.

The Employment Bureau recently organized, wishes to make a complete survey and registration of all heads of families, whether men or women, who have no employment or who have only part time employment. The committee in charge urges the public to give them this information. If you are unemployed do not fail to register at the city hall, on the corner of Broad and Commercial streets, where registration blanks will be furnished. The day of registration will be Tuesday, November 10th and Thursday, November 12th between the hours of 9:00 and 12:00 in the morning and from 1:00 to 5:00 o'clock in the afternoon.
